The Biggest Psychic Attack I've Ever Experienced Was Human

When people hear the phrase psychic attack, they often imagine something supernatural.

Dark entities.

Negative spirits.

Curses.

Unseen forces working against them.

That's not what I think of anymore.

Because the biggest psychic attack I've ever experienced didn't come from the Spirit world.

It came from another human being.

What is a psychic attack?

That depends on who you ask.

Some people believe psychic attack involves negative spiritual forces intentionally causing harm.

My understanding is different.

I believe human beings are incredibly powerful.

Our words.

Our intentions.

Our behaviour.

The way we treat one another.

All of those things have an energetic impact.

Sometimes that impact is uplifting.

Sometimes it's devastating.

For me, that's where the real work begins.

Human behaviour can change your energy

There are moments in life that knock the wind out of you.

A cruel comment.

Public humiliation.

Betrayal.

Being undermined by someone you trusted.

Those experiences don't just affect your thoughts.

They affect your energy too.

You feel smaller.

Quieter.

Less confident.

The world suddenly feels less safe than it did the day before.

I don't think that's because something supernatural has attached itself to you.

I think it's because you're human.

When your confidence disappears overnight

One of the hardest things about being deeply hurt is how quickly it changes the way you see yourself.

You begin questioning your judgement.

Your abilities.

Your relationships.

You replay conversations.

You wonder whether you imagined things.

You start looking for evidence that confirms your fears.

It's extraordinary how quickly one person's actions can become your internal dialogue.

Low energy doesn't mean Spirit have left you

One thing I've noticed in my own life is that when I'm struggling emotionally, I naturally feel less connected.

Not because Spirit have abandoned me.

Because my own emotions become so loud.

Grief.

Fear.

Shock.

Hurt.

They fill the space where I usually notice the quieter presence of Spirit.

It's a little like trying to hear someone whisper while standing beside a busy motorway.

The whisper hasn't stopped.

There's simply more noise.

Your vibration isn't a judgement

I sometimes hear people say,

"Your vibration has dropped."

As though that's a criticism.

As though feeling sad somehow means you've failed spiritually.

I don't believe that.

We're human beings.

We experience heartbreak.

Disappointment.

Loss.

Conflict.

Our emotional state naturally changes throughout our lives.

That isn't a spiritual failure.

It's part of being alive.

The important thing is recognising that difficult seasons don't last forever.

Don't mistake human pain for spiritual danger

When we're emotionally shaken, it's easy to assume something much bigger is happening.

Particularly if we're already interested in spirituality.

We might think we're under attack.

That we've attracted negative energy.

That something external has changed.

Sometimes that's the story we reach for because it feels easier than accepting a painful truth.

That another human being behaved badly.

Not every painful experience has a supernatural explanation.

Sometimes people simply make choices that hurt us.

Healing starts with recognising what happened

For me, one of the biggest steps in healing was separating the event from my identity.

Someone else's behaviour wasn't proof that I wasn't good enough.

It wasn't proof that everyone secretly thought the same.

It wasn't proof that I'd lost my connection with Spirit.

It was evidence that one person had made choices I found deeply hurtful.

That's painful.

But it's also far less frightening than believing I'm under attack from unseen forces.

Kindness restores what cruelty steals

One of the most beautiful things about being human is that the opposite is true as well.

If one person's cruelty can change your energy...

One person's kindness can begin restoring it.

A hug.

A kind word.

Someone genuinely pleased to see you.

A message checking in.

Those moments matter.

Sometimes they become the first thread that leads us back to ourselves.

The real protection I choose now

People often ask me how I protect myself spiritually.

These days my answer is surprisingly simple.

I choose good people.

I set healthier boundaries.

I spend time with those who lift me up rather than diminish me.

I look after my nervous system.

I rest when I need to.

I reconnect with Spirit through trust rather than fear.

For me, that's the most powerful protection there is.

The Spirit world has never frightened me

The older I get, the less afraid I become of Spirit.

The more aware I become of the impact human beings can have on one another.

Thankfully, the opposite is also true.

Human beings are capable of extraordinary compassion.

Remarkable generosity.

Profound healing.

If I have to choose where to place my attention...

I'll choose those people every time.

Because I don't believe the greatest psychic attacks come from the Spirit world.

I think they come from moments when we forget the impact our words and actions have on each other.

And perhaps that's also where the greatest healing begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a psychic attack?

People define psychic attack in different ways. Some believe it involves negative spiritual forces or harmful psychic energy. My perspective is different. I believe the greatest energetic impact we experience often comes from human behaviour—unkindness, manipulation, bullying, betrayal and emotional abuse can all affect us deeply without anything supernatural being involved.

Do you believe psychic attacks are real?

I believe people can have experiences that feel like a psychic attack. However, I don't automatically conclude that a spiritual force is responsible. In my experience, the energy created by another person's words, actions and intentions can have a profound effect on our emotional and energetic wellbeing.

Can another person's energy affect you?

Absolutely. We've all experienced feeling uplifted after spending time with someone kind or drained after being with someone who is consistently negative. I think human beings have a powerful impact on one another, and recognising that is an important part of looking after our own wellbeing.

Why do I feel less connected to Spirit when I'm struggling?

I don't believe Spirit step away from us during difficult times. More often, I think our own emotions become louder. Grief, anxiety, anger and hurt can make it harder to notice the quieter presence of Spirit, but that doesn't mean the connection has been lost.

Does a low vibration mean I'm failing spiritually?

Not at all. Being sad, hurt or overwhelmed is part of being human. I don't see emotional struggles as a sign that you've failed or become less spiritual. Our emotional state naturally rises and falls throughout life, and Spirit remain with us through all of it.

How do you protect your energy?

My approach is surprisingly simple. I choose to spend time with people who are kind, set healthy boundaries, rest when I need to, look after my mental and emotional wellbeing and maintain a trusting relationship with Spirit. For me, those everyday choices are far more powerful than living in fear of unseen forces.

How can I tell the difference between spiritual fear and emotional pain?

It's worth gently asking yourself what has been happening in your life. Have you experienced conflict, loss, criticism or betrayal? Sometimes what feels like a spiritual problem is actually an emotional wound asking for care and attention. Looking at the human experience first can often bring clarity.

Can kindness really change someone's energy?

I believe it can. A genuine smile, a hug, a thoughtful message or simply letting someone know you're pleased to see them can have a profound impact. We often underestimate how much healing can begin through small moments of human connection.

What should I do if I think I'm under psychic attack?

My first suggestion would be not to panic. Before assuming there's a supernatural cause, take care of your physical and emotional wellbeing. Spend time with supportive people, rest, reconnect with activities that help you feel grounded and notice whether there's a more human explanation for what you're experiencing. If spiritual practices such as prayer, meditation or visualising protection help you feel calm and safe, there's nothing wrong with using them. The goal is to help you feel supported, not frightened.
