Evidential Medium, Author & Spiritual Teacher

Evidential Made Simple is an Amazon bestselling guide by evidential medium Hannah Macintyre, and the fourth book in the Mediumship Matters Mini Guides. It covers the nuts and bolts of evidential mediumship: how to start a link, what evidence to look for, how to work with a sitter, what to do with a no, and how to practise. It’s all about evidence that brings a person back into the room.
What if the best evidence is the most ordinary?
The reading that started it all for Hannah was with her grandfather. The piece of evidence that blew her mind wasn’t a name or a date. It was that he’d been sitting beside her at work while she googled how to get rid of the black mould on her roses. She’d been completely alone. Nobody else could have known.
It was so boring and so mundane, and that was exactly why it mattered.
That’s what evidence means to Hannah. Not a shopping list of facts, but the personality, the quirks and the moments that let you know, without doubt, that you’re with somebody you love.
What This Book Is About
Evidential mediumship is the bit everybody wants to do and everybody is terrified of. Part of what makes it so scary is the way it’s been shown to us on TV, with full names, dates of death and the colour of the front door. A lot of developing mediums are holding themselves to a standard that simply isn’t real.
Evidential Made Simple brings it back down to earth. Hannah explains what evidence is actually for, how the evidential frequency differs from psychic and guide work, and how to start a link cleanly. She covers the evidence to look for, and in what order. She explains why “an owl is an owl” in evidential work, how objects, photographs and memories open up a link, and how to build your library of reference points.
She also covers the parts most books skip: ethics and duty of care, working with nos, recovering when a link goes wonky, structuring a one-to-one reading, a first look at platform, and the practice exercises she gives her own students.

A Simpler Way to Understand Evidential Mediumship
Hannah is passionate about one thing above all: understanding how and why mediumship works is fundamental to your results with it. She learnt in circles where you opened up, whatever came through came through, and questions about the mechanics weren’t welcome. She used to come home and cry.
Without that understanding, many developing mediums get stuck. They plateau, chase the TV version of evidence, or lose confidence every time they get a no. So this book is everything she wishes somebody had sat her down and explained at the beginning, most of which, she says, spirit taught her themselves, “usually by letting me get it wrong first”.
The book shows you that:
-
evidential mediumship is an active, fast energy, not a floaty meditative state
-
your brain builds the pictures, so say the essence and don’t add the detail
-
personality and relationship are where the power of a reading is
-
every no is part of the journey, and good mediumship is all about the recovery
-

About Hannah
Hi, I’m Hannah Macintyre — evidential medium, Amazon bestselling author, podcast host, and spiritual mentor. For over a decade, I’ve been supporting people to explore their sensitivity and connection with Spirit in a grounded, accessible, and deeply human way.
I don’t believe mediumship is reserved for a chosen few. I believe it is a natural capacity that many of us carry, often quietly, and that with the right understanding and encouragement, it can be developed with confidence.
My own journey was not instant or dramatic. Like many people, I doubted what I was receiving and assumed I needed certainty before I could trust it. What I learned is that mediumship is not about getting everything right. It is about listening, responding, and allowing communication with Spirit to unfold.
Evidential mediumship is my absolute passion, and I want everyone who feels called to it to understand how it really works.

Frequently Asked Questions About Evidential Mediumship
What is evidential mediumship?
Evidential mediumship is communicating with someone in spirit and bringing through evidence that they live on: their personality, relationships, memories and the things that made them who they were. For Hannah, the purpose is reconnecting someone with the person they love, not reciting a list of facts.
Do I need to get names and dates to be a good medium?
No. Names, dates and addresses are some of the hardest information to receive, because spirit don’t speak anymore. Hannah works mainly with personality, emotion and relationship, because that’s what lets a sitter know they’re with their loved one. Names can come with time, but they’re not the measure of good mediumship.
What’s the difference between evidential and psychic work?
Psychic work reads the energy of the person in front of you. Evidential mediumship is communicating with a spirit. If you pick up that someone’s dad loved football and had a heart attack, you may simply have read the sitter. That’s why understanding your frequencies matters so much.
Why does understanding how mediumship works matter?
Because without it, many developing mediums get stuck, plateau or lose confidence. When you understand what’s happening, like why your brain adds detail to images, why personality builds power, and why a no isn’t failure, you can work out where a link went wrong, recover it and keep developing.
What should I do when a sitter says no?
At the start of a link, just carry on. Further in, don’t reach for something new. Go back to what you already have and check it, and try different words, because often it’s the wording that’s wrong, not the evidence. And remember that plenty of nos turn into yeses later, once the sitter has had time to think.
Is this book suitable for beginners?
Yes. It assumes you’re learning, and it covers everything from your first link to structuring a full one-to-one. If you’re brand new to mediumship, Mediumship Made Simple is a good place to start first.

Start Your Evidential Journey
Evidence isn’t just a list of facts. It’s the feeling of your mum kissing you on the forehead as she tucks you in. It’s your grandmother putting your artwork on her fridge and showing it to everybody. It’s your granddad taking your sticky little hand and walking you round the garden.
That’s great mediumship. It’s bringing that back for people.
