Evidential Medium, Author & Spiritual Teacher

Your Spiritual Business is a practical guide by evidential medium Hannah Macintyre, and the thirteenth book in the Mediumship Matters Mini Guides. Drawing on fifteen years of running her own business, it covers pricing, being found, social media, ethics, opportunities, boundaries, the legal basics, fairs, events, retreats and building a platform. It shows what each one really costs.

Manifested two hundred clients last month?
Everywhere you look online, somebody is having a brilliant time in their spiritual business. Sold out. Fully booked. Manifested two hundred clients last month, and you can too.
When you’re the one sitting at home wondering why nobody has booked your reading, it’s very easy to decide you must be doing something wrong.
This book tells you what those posts leave out, including the advertising budgets.

Why I Wrote This Book
I wanted to write the book I needed when I was starting out: the one with the real numbers in it.
What a demonstration actually costs once you’ve paid for the room, the adverts and the people helping you. What happened when I gave somebody a free place on a retreat. What an expo stand cost me, and what it brought in. How much of my own money has gone into Spirit Social, and what it has felt like watching it go.
I won’t give you a formula, because the rules keep changing under all of our feet. What I can give you is everything I’ve tried, what it cost, what worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently. And for all of it, I still wouldn’t do anything else.

What Is Your Spiritual Business About?
Your Spiritual Business by Hannah Macintyre is Book 13 of the Mediumship Matters Mini Guides, a series of short, practical books on spiritual development. It’s an honest guide to running a spiritual business as a medium, healer or reader. It covers deciding whether you want a business, pricing, being found online, social media, ethical selling, opportunities and collaborations, boundaries, legal and financial basics, fairs and expos, event costs, retreats and building a platform, using real figures from the author’s own business. Each chapter ends with a practical exercise, and the book comes with a free Event Reality Check spreadsheet.
About Hannah
Hi, I’m Hannah Macintyre — evidential medium, Amazon bestselling author, podcast host, and spiritual mentor. For over a decade, I’ve been supporting people to explore their sensitivity and connection with Spirit in a grounded, accessible, and deeply human way.

I don’t believe mediumship is reserved for a chosen few. I believe it is a natural capacity that many of us carry, often quietly, and that with the right understanding and encouragement, it can be developed with confidence.

My own journey was not instant or dramatic. Like many people, I doubted what I was receiving and assumed I needed certainty before I could trust it. What I learned is that mediumship is not about getting everything right. It is about listening, responding, and allowing communication with Spirit to unfold.

I’ve made most of the mistakes in this book so you don’t have to. And I still wouldn’t do anything else.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much should I charge for readings?
Hannah’s rule of thumb is to charge enough that it gives you tummy ache, and then double it. In her experience, putting her prices up attracted sitters who were more invested and better prepared. The book walks you through working out your costs and setting a price.

Can I make a living as a medium?
Some people do, but Hannah is honest that evidential work is draining and that few people can sustain it full time. She recommends a business that doesn’t need to pay your mortgage, with easier offerings alongside evidential work as a top tier.

Are fairs and expos worth it for spiritual businesses?
Sometimes. Hannah shares exactly what one big expo cost her and what it brought in, and lists the questions to ask any organiser before booking a stand.

Is this book legal or financial advice?
No. Hannah is clear she isn’t an accountant or a lawyer. The book flags the things to look into, like tax, insurance, consumer law and data protection, and encourages you to get proper advice for your own situation.

What is the Event Reality Check?
It’s a free spreadsheet that comes with the book. It works out what an event really cost you, including your time and your helpers’ time, so you can see whether it was worth it.

I Want to Earn It
“I don’t want to win it. I want to earn it. I want to build something, with my own hands and my own energy and my own mistakes, and look at it and know I made it.”
If you’re at the very beginning, enjoy it. Grow, by all means, but keep a bit of it slow.
