So, you want to be a proper evidential medium—none of this “I’ve got a name starting with J” nonsense. You want to bring real evidence, deliver clear messages, and leave your sitters saying, “Wow, there’s no way you could have known that!” instead of, “Well… I suppose that could be my Uncle Jim… or Jeff… or John.”

Evidential mediumship is all about proof. It’s the difference between vague, fluffy readings and the jaw-dropping, heart-hitting moments that leave people genuinely knowing their loved ones are still around.

If you’re ready to strengthen your evidence, improve your accuracy, and stop second-guessing your messages, read on.

What Is Evidential Mediumship?

Evidential mediumship is about providing solid, verifiable details about the spirit communicator—information that proves their identity beyond doubt.

A strong evidential reading includes:✅ Names or initials (not just “I’ve got a man here”).✅ Physical descriptions (height, hair, clothes, glasses, tattoos—get specific).✅ Memories or personal details (favourite foods, funny habits, that time they nearly burnt the house down).✅ Cause of passing (but be mindful—be sensitive with difficult circumstances).✅ Personality & emotions (were they loud, shy, a bit of a wind-up merchant? Show it!).

Basically, the goal is to make the sitter go, “Yes! That’s definitely my mum/dad/best mate”, rather than, “That could be anyone’s grandad, really.”

How to Provide Clear & Validated Messages from Spirit

1. Get Out of Your Own Way

This is the BIGGEST hurdle for most mediums—overthinking and blocking the flow of information.

❌ “What if I’m wrong?”❌ “What if they don’t take it?”❌ “What if I look stupid?”

Let. It. Go.

Spirit isn’t asking you to be perfect, they’re asking you to trust. The more you relax, the stronger the connection.

Try this:🔹 Say what you see, feel, hear, or know—without filtering it.🔹 Don’t try to make sense of it—your sitter will.🔹 If you get something unusual, say it! The weird, random details are often the most powerful.

2. Ask Spirit for Specific Evidence

Don’t settle for general statements like, “I have a lovely woman here who loved to cook”.Instead, push for details:

🔹 “She’s showing me a battered old cookbook she swore by.”🔹 “She always burned the toast but insisted it wasn’t ruined.”🔹 “She had a thing for those awful 70s wallpaper designs.”

The more specific you get, the stronger the evidence.

3. Let Spirit Communicate Their Personality

Personality is proof. It’s what makes someone instantly recognisable.

  • Were they a joker? Bring through that humour.

  • Were they blunt and to the point? Say it as they would.

  • Were they gentle and soft-spoken? Match their energy.

If someone’s grandad was a grumpy old sod who hated fuss, don’t describe him as a “sweet, loving gentleman”. Let him come through as he was.

4. Deliver the Message, Not Just the Evidence

Evidence proves who’s there. But why are they there?

Once you’ve validated their presence, bring through their message:✔ What do they want their loved one to know? Are they bringing comfort, encouragement, or a little telling-off?Is there something happening in the sitter’s life that they’re aware of?

Evidence is important, but the message is what brings healing.

5. Strengthen Your Clair Senses

Your evidence comes through your clair senses. The stronger these are, the better your mediumship.

🔮 Clairvoyance (Seeing) → Strengthen this by practicing visualisation exercises.👂 Clairaudience (Hearing) → Pay attention to words, names, phrases—ask spirit to repeat them!🤍 Clairsentience (Feeling) → Notice emotions, pain, body sensations—how did they feel in life?💡 Claircognizance (Knowing) → Trust those sudden drops of knowledge—you’re not making it up!

Spirit communicates in many ways—work out which senses are strongest for you and train them.

6. Don’t Be Afraid to Say “No” to a Spirit

Not every spirit is going to give you solid gold evidence. If you get a vague communicator, set a higher standard.

Say (in your mind):“I need stronger evidence. Give me something specific.”

If they can’t, move on to another communicator. Your job is to provide real, validated messages—not to scrape together vague details just to fill time.

Common Mistakes (And How to Avoid Them)

💀 Being Too Vague → Get more specific. Push for stronger evidence.

💀 Over-Explaining or Justifying → Don’t waffle. Give what you get—short and clear.

💀 Waiting for Spirit to Do All the Work → Ask for details, don’t just sit there hoping.

💀 Dismissing the Weird Stuff → The unusual, random details are often the most powerful proof.

💀 Letting Fear Take Over → You’re going to get things “wrong” sometimes—that’s okay. Keep going.

Final Thoughts: The Key to Strong Evidential Mediumship

Be clear. Say what you get without second-guessing.✔ Be specific. No vague statements—ask for real details.✔ Be confident. Trust spirit, trust yourself, and deliver with certainty.

The best evidential mediumship is real, raw, and undeniably accurate. When done well, it proves that love, life, and connection continue beyond death—and there is no greater gift you can give.

So go out there and be brave, be bold, and let spirit speak.
