The Difference Between Psychic Readings, Card Readings, and Mediumship

Hello, lovely souls! Let’s dive into one of the most common questions I get asked: What’s the difference between psychic readings, card readings, and mediumship? It’s a brilliant question, because, let’s be honest, the spiritual world can feel like a mystical pick ‘n’ mix at times. So, grab a cuppa, settle in, and let’s demystify this together.

Psychic Readings: The Energy Snapshot

Imagine your energy is like a giant vacuum cleaner (stay with me here). It hoovers up everything: emotions, thoughts, interactions with people, that weird conversation you had with Janet from accounts… it’s all in there. A psychic reading is essentially someone taking a peek into that dusty bag of energetic fluff.

Psychics read your energy. They’re not dialling up your Nan in spirit or having a chinwag with your spirit guide; they’re tuning into you. Your vibes. Your aura. It’s like taking a snapshot of where you are energetically right now. Are you overthinking? Carrying emotional baggage? Secretly plotting world domination? A psychic can pick that up.

But here’s the kicker: psychics can’t predict your future. Shocking, I know. They can talk about potentials and possibilities based on your current energy, but your future isn’t set in stone. It’s more like a choose-your-own-adventure book, and you’re the author.

Card Readings: The Guided Glimpse

Card readings (think tarot, oracle, angel cards) are where things get a bit spicier. When I do card readings, I’m working with my spirit guides and yours. The cards are like little keys that unlock the messages your guides want you to hear.

Now, don’t expect them to spill the tea on whether you’ll meet a tall, dark stranger named Clive next Thursday. Spirit guides aren’t your personal fortune-tellers. They’re more like that wise friend who tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. They’ll give you guidance, insight, and sometimes a gentle spiritual slap if needed.

A card reading can include some psychic stuff (like reading your energy) but with an added sprinkle of higher wisdom from the spirit world. It’s perfect if you’re looking for guidance, clarity, or confirmation that you’re not entirely losing the plot.

Mediumship: The Spirit Hotline

Mediumship is where things get truly magical. This isn’t about your energy or future potentials; it’s about connecting with your loved ones in spirit. If you want to know that your Nan still loves you, your dad is watching over you, or your dog Buster is happily chasing celestial tennis balls, mediumship is for you.

The aim here is evidence. Real, tangible evidence that your loved one is still around. Their personality, quirks, memories—all those little details that make you go, “Blimey, that is them!” It’s not the space for asking if your boyfriend’s cheating or whether you’ll get that promotion. (That’s psychic territory, darling.)

Mediumship is about proving the continued existence of the human spirit, not life coaching from beyond the veil. So if you’re hoping Uncle Bob will give you stock tips from the afterlife, you might be disappointed.

Choosing the Right Reading

  • Want to know what’s going on with your energy, what might be blocking you, or where you’re heading? Go for a psychic reading.

  • Need guidance, clarity, or advice from your spirit team? Book a card reading.

  • Longing to hear from a loved one in spirit and get that beautiful validation they’re still with you? Mediumship is your jam.

And here’s the golden rule: know what you want before you book. There’s nothing worse than booking a mediumship session when you really wanted career advice, or expecting your spirit guide to solve your love life like some celestial agony aunt.

Hopefully, that clears things up. And remember, whether it’s psychic, cards, or mediumship, it all comes from the same source: love, connection, and the absolute wonder of the universe. (And occasionally, a bit of spiritual sass.)
