Mediumship Matters – Season 1, Episode 16

A hand holding a pencil draws a diagonal line on white paper. The scene is simple, emphasizing creativity and focus.

In this episode of Mediumship Matters, I explore what happens when your energy begins to shift through spiritual development — and why that change can sometimes feel uncomfortable, confusing, or isolating.

I also talk openly about boundaries: why it’s not your job to change others, why unwarranted spiritual advice can be harmful, and how responsibility and ethics sit at the heart of genuine mediumship.

This episode is especially relevant if you’ve felt more tired, sensitive, or out of step with people around you as your awareness deepens.

What We Explore in This Episode

Energy Shifts and Spiritual Development

Spiritual development often involves gradual changes in how you feel, think, and respond to the world. As your awareness shifts, your energy changes too — and that can affect relationships, routines, and how you experience everyday life.

Feeling tired, flat, irritable, or emotionally sensitive isn’t a sign that something has gone wrong. It’s often part of integration and adjustment as your nervous system catches up with inner change.

You Are Not Responsible for Changing Others

One of the most important reminders in this episode is this:your development does not make you responsible for other people’s growth.

As your awareness changes, it can highlight differences between you and those around you. That doesn’t mean anyone is “behind” — it simply means you’ve chosen to engage in something they haven’t.

Your role isn’t to fix, convince, or awaken anyone else. It’s to stay grounded and live your own life with integrity.

Boundaries in Psychic and Spiritual Work

I also explore the difference between working psychically and working with the spirit world — and why boundaries matter so deeply in both.

Just because you can perceive something doesn’t mean you have the right to share it. Unasked-for spiritual insight, “energetic observations,” or symbolic messages can create confusion, fear, or harm when offered without consent.

Ethical spiritual work is practical, supportive, and appropriate — not theatrical or intrusive.

Why Unwarranted Spiritual Advice Can Be Harmful

Spiritual language carries weight. Words plant ideas.

Offering vague, symbolic, or unsolicited messages can:

  • confuse people

  • create anxiety

  • undermine free will

  • shift responsibility away from the individual

Spirit communication, when genuine, is purposeful and helpful — not cryptic or ego-driven.

Energy, Free Will, and Responsibility

This episode also touches on free will, personal responsibility, and the limits of spiritual interpretation.

Spiritual awareness doesn’t remove the need to care for yourself, respect others’ autonomy, or take responsibility for your choices. Development doesn’t override humanity — it deepens it.

A Grounded Reminder

Spiritual development isn’t about becoming special or separate. It’s about becoming more aware, more ethical, and more human.

Boundaries aren’t a failure of compassion — they’re what allow compassion to exist safely.
